University Mail Services (UMS) has been working diligently to process the unprecedented amount of packages that continue to arrive daily to the University. Students will receive an email from their mailroom when a package is available for pick up. Students should expect mild delays in the delivery of their packages for the next couple of weeks.
Location of mailrooms and hours of operation are available on this website.
Please go to https://studentmail.uconn.edu/properly-addressing-packages/ for the proper format in addressing both letter mail and packages being sent to a residential student.
Please remember that you are required to wear a facemask in all University buildings’ public spaces.
When changing room assignments, within 48 hours of your move, please be sure ask the mailroom clerk to cross off your name on your former mailbox and pull any letter mail that might have arrived.
Mail and packages will arrive to your new mailroom (if it changes) upon Housing Services noting in their software that the room change is completed.
Mailroom Package Notifications
When your student’s package arrives at their mailroom, after being sorted on campus at a central sorting facility, they will receive an email with “UConn Package ready” as the subject line. The email is similar to the example below:
You have received an item at the XXXXX Mailroom.
Recipient Name: XXXX, XXXX

Residential mailrooms are normally open Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm. Check your mailroom service desk for further details on hours. If the Mailroom location is Warehouse, you have a Priority Express parcel to be pick-up here at University Mail Services located in the Central Warehouse building.
